The Mentor Factor

Just the last weekend, my Mentor called on me and initiated a meet up. He just came back from his many months in China. He has a big network of MLMers since he started his China venture in early 2004.

Jerry, my Mentor, is a very wise man. He taught me all that i know about his biz and the skill sets needed to be a great MLMer. He is very driven and motivated to teach his apprentices and guide them towards their dream of Edupreneurship.

Having a good Mentor is very important as the individual will mould you into a success or failure. It all boils down to shear luck you meet one. As your introducer or sponsor may not be the best person to coach you, you will need to seek help from more experienced MLMers in your current netowrk to mentor you.

A good Mentor will be able to share with you his/her mass experience in the industry, the DOs and DON'Ts and most importantly the simplest way to succeed in the biz.

So how do you track a good Mentor to coach you? You may use the following pointers as a guide.

Individual who is:
1. in the same biz for more than 3 years.
2. making regular income from the network biz (equivalent to a monthly paycheck of a working class).
3. continuously involved in frontline marketing regardless of his network size.
4. humble yet speaks with conviction of his passion for his biz.
5. never bad-mouthing other networks or biz but always craving to learn from best practices.

The above may not be exhausive, but it should be comprehensive to help you identify a great Mentor. :)
